Colaborador de Guerrero en sus últimos años de vida, Tomás Zori se hizo famoso junto a Manuel Codeso y Fernando Santos, con quienes formó el trío Zori, Santos y Codeso. Los tres fueron parte esencial en el estreno de La blanca doble, humorada cómico-lírica con texto de Enrique Paradas y Joaquín Jiménez, en el Teatro La Latina de Madrid, el 5 de abril de 1947. El número de los tres mexicanitos fue una referencia.
